The day before we left to go back to England we went to a Medieval Festival held every year in the gorgeous town of Monflanquin.
When I was younger I worked there for two years and OH MY GOD I was bored and hated it… It wasn’t just the place, which in winters was totally dead. The job was awful. I was working for an insurance company with a boss who was a control freak who would delegate in extreme emergency only, so two years of printing invoices and stacking them in envelopes was hell. When I left it was like being released back in heaven.
It took me a long time to return there even just for some sightseeing but one thing they do really well is the Medieval Festival. It is held every year mid August, but this year you could tell the recession damaged it a little bit. It was much quieter with less attractions, which in a way was great for us, as we got to enjoy it without the massive crowds.
The boys were able to become knights for a day and fight all day for their favourite princess: ME.
Are you ready?

FIGHT!!!
And fight some more…
Kill for food…
Enjoy it…
And rest!
It’s a tough life being a Knight…

Hi – found you on BMB and just dropped by to say hi. BTW those masks are pretty cool.
I once had a job selling incontinence pads over the phone. I lasted six weeks.
PS: Cute knights!!
Gorgeous boys. Noble knights.
We went to a live joust at Hever Castle this summer and loved it.
