I love that he loves to write. I love that when he comes home he grabs his notepad to write stories of the day he has just spent at school.
I was like him and still am. I am happy with a pencil or a pen in my hand to either write or doodle. These days I write lists mainly and I collect notepads. I love my notepads and it is quite funny to see E doing the same. He loves them too and already has an opinion on the ones he prefers.
I am happy to see him develop that as I often wonder if our children will ever grow up with the joy of hand writing letters, postcards or stories when they are more naturally using a keyboard.

Hi I am Peggy, the author of Perfectly Happy Mum!

Mini is the same. I love it, We send postcards to all sorts of people. I buy him his own notebooks too.

Isn’t it lovely? I love seeing his interest in writing developing daily
I’m always amazed when I find a blog as lovely as this and wonder why I haven’t found it earlier! Your boys are gorgeous! x

Aww thank you! That’s very lovely, you made my day

How fantastic and long may it continue. I love gorgeous pens as well, particularly gel pens and it is so great to see children enjoying the simple pleasures of pen to paper. My son isn’t even two yet and I leave paper and pencils in the corner of the kitchen because he gets so much enjoyment out of making his mark on the paper. Lovely to have found your blog through Mummy’s Little Monkey’s ‘Blow Your Own Blog Horn’ linky x

Absolutely, it is so important to let them experience with pen and paper. This something I never deny them. Thank you for the visit
I sometimes forget how much I love writing. It’s a real passion and I hope my son finds his too. L

I am sure he will if you do. They pick up so much watching their parents
I know exactly what you mean, my daughter loves stories. Obviously she loves technology, but at the moment I’m pleased to see she still prefers to write with a pen or pencil-I want to encourage this as much as possible!
I agree, your blog is lovely and I’m glad I discovered it, thanks.

Aww thank you very much!
I don’t write as often now as I used to (because of the computer!) but I am consciously trying to write more in front of my daughter so that she knows that it has a value. I love your son’s choice of book, it’s one of our favourites
