Unbeknown to me, Victor had been experimenting with the camera probably while I was busy running after his brother or cousins (and slowly losing the plot) and when I loaded the photos this is what I’ve discovered…

And my favourite one: my gorgeous boy Just because at times, I can’t help thinking (in a totally un-biased way) that these 2 boys are absolutely gorgeous and that one day, when they think that we are the most useless parents on earth, I’d like them to remember that if they look like this and get lots of girls begging for them to love them, it is thanks to us!
I was looking at old photos or rather trying to make some space in my laptop memory, when I stumbled upon these old photos of Nala… When I look at this one, I can remember the puppy smell and the sharp little teeth that she would dig in our hands to play. Now she is the softest and most patient of all. Some people say she is big, we find her just the right size. Some people think it is madness that we had to get a Renault Espace to accommodate her 70 kgs, we think that we are so lucky to have this gentle giant in our life. OK I am off before I get all soppy and gooey… My mother is visiting and since she’s arrived we have been chatting, cooking, sewing, shopping, cleaning and more cooking, with obviously a little bit of arguing and some work too… So you will understand that I haven’t had much time for blogging… So don’t go too far my dear people because I will be back! In the meantime I have to show you my pride and joy… The very first cake I have ever decorated… And the thing I am not sure I will ever do again… A DINOSAUR CAKE!!
Every now and then Elliott elects a favourite toy and the last one is this little yellow car. This was a present from my mum and it represents a French postman van. Yesterday evening we had a conversation about the car: "Do you know what this car represents darling?" I said. "It's a CAR!" Elliott replied obviously shocked that I might not know it is a car. "I know darling, but whose car is it?" "Mine!" "Right, yes it is yours" Let's get things move on "It represents a French postman van. Here in the UK they are red and in France they are yellow. You know France is where Nanou (my mum) lives and where we go on holiday" "Nanou doesn't live in a car!" "No, Nanou doesn't live in a car, she lives in France" "No that's France!" pointing at the car. "Shall we talk about it tomorrow morning?" I said kissing his forehead "Sleep well now" "Good night, I want to keep France with me in my bed" There is a case of deep confusion here…

No there they are! Come back here NOW! Do you think it is funny? I tell you what is funny keeping you awake all night is funny. Ruining your life with chicken pox for a period spread over 3 weeks IS FUNNY!! THIS IS NOT FUNNY!
Some of you might remember that one day I was walking home and discovered that our car had been moved by a meter and badly damaged. When that happened I called Superhero husband and demanded that he came home to nurse my trauma. I reassure everyone I wasn't in the car at the time of the damage, but I was in deep shock when I realised that I might endup with no car for a while… again… brrrrr shake this idea away from you mind now woman! Anyway Superhero obliged and in just enough time to put his pants on top of his trousers, he was home sorting out the insurance and all the other crap. We were lucky the guy who did the damage left a note through the door and even luckier that the dog didn't eat the note! Anyway, Craig was ever so smug when he came to tell me that he was so right to take out the insurance that would offer a car as big as ours for a 2 weeks replacement. Less than 24 hours later this car was delivered Kia Sorento I was rather pleased… I could see myself driving a 4×4 without any problem. In fact I did drive it quite happily to Sainsbury's and back home. It was lovely. But then as I went to lock it to go home, nothing happened! Some fuse blew and there was no radio either! DAMN I drove it 20 min only!!! I wanted it a little bit longer!! After a few calls to the rental company, they offered to replace it with this one Ford Galaxy Not bad at all, but not a 4×4… by far more reliable though and big enough for the whole family and Nala. That is once you know how to collapse properly the back seats in the boot. We spent two weeks struggling to fit the buggy and anything else in a such a big car, how ridiculous! Anyway Craig found out how to do it, I would say a good 2 hours before it was due to be returned… And it was finally time to be reunited with our lovely car… This shot was taken by someone passing by totally astonished by the beauty of our car during our last holiday in the South of France… Errrmm *liar* Unfortunately, our car was due to return to the garage for a couple of days for more plastic surgery. Our insurance deal had then ran out so we ended up with this one… Now, please don't get me wrong but a Matiz is tiny and this photo makes it look huge! It was so small that even Elliott said when he saw it for the first time "I don't want this car! This car is small! I want the big car!!" (I have to say that we had his total approval for all the other cars). It is SO small that a 6'2" man looks folded in 2 in it! However inadequate it was though, just for the sight of Craig beating up his chin with his knees everytime he changed gear made it worth having! Evil, I know…
